Western Cape

Hi, Western Cape residents!

Here are some of the parrots in our system that are currently in foster care and seeking their new forever families.

You can start by completing an adoption application (see buttons below). We try to avoid inter-provincial travel unless we really struggle to find a home in the original region, so this page is dedicated to applicants in the Western Cape only.

Please kindly note that we are a volunteer-run organisation so it might take some time for us to get to your application, especially because we are currently trying to work through a backlog that has occurred as well.

Spotlight on: Bella

Bella, Congo African Grey
📍Somerset West, Western Cape

Bella is a absolute darling; she loves having road trips with her foster momma and enjoys walking your house flat. She is a very easy-going bird and isn’t too picky.
She would love a confident person as her handler – someone who isn’t scared of her and who would love to work with her and spend time with her everh day (the more time together, the better). She is very attention seeking and will make sure you know that she is the boss of the house. No one else stands above her.
She allows scratches inside the cage and will step up to her person. She also enjoys nibbling your toes and chewing shoes!
If you would like to adopt this adorable African Grey, please complete an application form by clicking on the links at the top of the page.
If you have applied in the past (there is no need to apply again) or would like more information, contact his adoption adviser, Marzanne, via email (marzanne@cheekybeaks.org.za) to review your application in light of this specific bird.
