Hi, Mpumalanga residents!
Here are some of the parrots in our system that are currently in foster care and seeking their new forever families.
You can start by completing an adoption application (see buttons below). We try to avoid inter-provincial travel unless we really struggle to find a home in the original region, so this page is dedicated to applicants in Mpumalanga only.
Please kindly note that we are a volunteer-run organisation so it might take some time for us to get to your application, especially because we are currently trying to work through a backlog that has occurred as well.

Spotlight on: Jollie
Please welcome Jollie to the Cheeky Beaks family! He was surrendered to us by his first and only owner due to lack of time she is able to spend with him and she is getting old as well. Jollie is 14 years old.
He had an accident a few years ago and broke his leg, but fortunately the vet could treat it immediately and the bones healed correctly. His foster mom has noticed that he chews his feathers on the wing on the side of the healed leg. He seems to be doing that when stressed. His diet was very bad; the owner did try to transition him, but was unsuccessful. Please note that this photo was taken shortly after his surrender – all potentially hazardous toys have been removed. His foster will be redoing his cage setup with fresh goodies.
He will be seeing a local avian vet soon and his foster mom will work on overcoming his anxiety and unhealthy eating habits.
