Hi, KZN residents!

Here are some of the parrots in our system that are currently in foster care and seeking their new forever families.

You can start by completing an adoption application (see buttons below). We try to avoid inter-provincial travel unless we really struggle to find a home in the original region, so this page is dedicated to applicants in KZN only.

Please kindly note that we are a volunteer-run organisation so it might take some time for us to get to your application, especially because we are currently trying to work through a backlog that has occurred as well.

Spotlight on: Sigyn

📍Durban (Upper Highway), KwaZulu-Natal
Prepare to have your heart stolen! Sigyn the canary is the sweetest little baby. He came to us after an accidental clutch (previous owner had been told they had 2 females) and due to his wild colouring, the owner wanted to make sure that this little bird goes to a family who will love him as is.
Hatched in April, this sweetie pie is so curious and has shown a desire to interact with people. He also has the cutest singing voice which he uses to serenade anyone who stops by to say hello. With a naughty streak, he loves to forage and flutter from perch to perch. His foster is currently working on building up his trust in people and handling. If there’s one thing Sigyn loves more than his seeds, it’s his fruit and veggies.
If you would like to adopt this adorable canary, please complete an application form by clicking on the links at the top of this page.
If you have applied in the past (there is no need to apply again) or would like more information, contact his adoption adviser, Georgia, on +27 71 492 6281 to review your application in light of this specific bird.
