KwaZulu-Natal

Hi, KZN residents!

Here are some of the parrots in our system that are currently in foster care and seeking their new forever families.

You can start by completing an adoption application (see buttons below). We try to avoid inter-provincial travel unless we really struggle to find a home in the original region, so this page is dedicated to applicants in KZN only.

Please kindly note that we are a volunteer-run organization so it might take some time for us to get to your application, especially because we are currently trying to work through a backlog that has occurred as well.

African Grey
Glenwood, KwaZulu-Natal

Sage is a hand raised African Grey who has known nothing but love her whole life. She is a very easy-going bird who loves ripping up buttons off your clothes and getting head scratches.

Unfortunately Sage needs surgery, and we need your help to make that happen.
Please visit her GoFundMe page: https://www.backabuddy.co.za/cheeky-beaks-rescue

The Situation: Sage is facing a medical emergency due to a mass in her reproductive tract. Time is of the essence, and this surgery is crucial for her well-being. Estimated Surgery Cost: Our trusted avian vet in the region has quoted us an estimated cost of R6000 – R8000 for Sage‘s surgery. This financial burden is significant for us. Your Support Can Make a Difference: We are reaching out to our wonderful community to seek your support in sponsoring Sage‘s surgery. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to providing the care she urgently needs.
